The fishing
Strömhult's sportfishing consist in the main of one stream about 800 meters long, with a dam ,build for flyfishing with rapid-flowing water character, belonging to it. The fish here is mostly coarse rainbow trout in weight-class from 2 to 10 kilos, with a middle weight around 3 kilos. Also salmon trout exist here, in general around 2 kilos, but every season it caughts the double size.

For the truly fastidious we can offer 2 kph of the Strömhultsriver , that lies upwards the establishment. Here it's salmon trout that's dominating, and the distance

is a "no-kill"-zone, which means that no salmon trout can be brought up.
As maybe already has been cleared between the lines, it's only flyfishing that's allowed on the put and take-establishment and up the river. The establishment is designed for flyfishing by the owner, Robert Karlsson. You don't relly need anything else than float-line, or intermediate. The fish is surface-active and the streams and the dam is built to encourage the fish naturally food-search on the surface.
